We are very thankful for the Elders of Summerside Community Church and the responsibility they carry. The responsibilities of an Elder requires the grace and the call of God to carry this mantle of leadership, along with the anointing of the Holy Spirit for the work they will be required to carry.

The Elders are responsible for the leadership of SCC in accordance with our Heart, Vision and Values. They will ensure compliance with the legal requirements as set out in our by-laws and constitution. The Elders are the final decision making body of SCC.

The overall summary and purpose of their role is to—

• Provide primary oversight
• Shepherd the flock
• Provide governance of the practical workings of the church

The Elders are available for communication in the areas listed above. As with any oversight role, they view things from 1000 feet above sea-level vs. the work of the SCC staff who are at sea-level. If you are unsure of who you should bring your question, idea or concern to, start with who you think would be the most suitable, then that person may re-route you to another person who will best answer the question or provide support.
