Summerside Community Church is a non-denominational church located in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. We desire to see the kingdom of God established on earth. We are seeking a Pastor Of Community and Connection to further engage people in their discipleship journey by creating individual and corporate growth strategies. This role focuses on connection through courses and small group engagement, providing avenues toward spiritual care, equipping and evangelism.

· Capable of teaching God’s Word in various settings.

· Experienced in pastoral care and conflict resolution for individuals, couples or families.

· Strong interpersonal skills and experience working effectively with various ministry teams.

· Self-motivated, strategic and capable of working independently.

· Self-aware, vulnerable and teachable servant leader.

· Aware of current ministry trends and concepts within their area of leadership and passionate about continuous learning and finding strategic ways to advance our growing ministry.

· Possesses post-secondary educational training and/or experience in leadership, theological/biblical studies and ministry.

· Proficient in computer, software and social media skills.

Terms of Ministry

This is a part-time position and includes some evening and weekend work. The actual weekly hours worked may vary with higher and lower demands at different times of the year. The role will be paid a salary based on 25 hours/week.

Department: SCC Church Leadership (Staff & Teams)

Reports to: Senior Leader, accountable to Elder Board

Hours: 25 hours per week, flexible schedule (evenings and weekends).

Compensation & Benefits of Pastor of Community And Connections

· Salary as currently defined, reviewed annually

· Sabbaticals every 7 years (TBD)

· 4 seasonal weekends away

· 3 weeks of vacation per year

· 1 week of continuing education per year
